This is the fourth in a series about cities in the USA for which I could tease data out of the Census bureau. Nationwide, Asians comprise 6,649 of every 100,000.
You find the most Asian cities primarily in the California.
Unfortunately, the Census Bureau does not differentiate among Asians at the city level. A proper tally might separate along these lines:
- Central Asians — Afghani, Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Georgians, Iranians, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Turks, Turkmen, Tajikistan, and Uzbeks
- East Asians — Burmese, Cambodians, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Koreans, Lao, Taiwanese, Thai, Vietnamese
- North Asians — Mongols, Siberians, Turkic
- South Asians — Bangladeshi, Bhutanese, Indian, Maldivian, Nepalese, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Tamil
- Southeast Asians — Bruneian, East Timorese, Indonesians, Malaysians, Singaporeans
- Southwest Asians — Arabs, Israelites
