On 7-June-2021, Chainalysis published a work on Bitcoin gains by country during the 2020 Bitcoin bull market (see: https://blog.chainalysis.com/reports/bitcoin-gains-by-country-2020). From that work, they produced this graphic:
While it is interesting on its face, it does not tell as much as it should. After all, China, India and the United States of America have the top three populations on earth.
So, when we look at the per capita Bitcoin gains, we see a different picture entirely. In some ways, you can consider this chart as a ranking of where Bitcoin kings live. By kings, I mean those who have become richer through Bitcoin gains relative to their countrymen.
While the Swiss ranking at two and the Dutch and Belgians ranking at three and four fail to surprise, the Czechs at number one surprise me. The Swiss have a global banking reputation, of course. The Dutch have been speculators since the 1600. Belgians, more or less, are Catholic Dutchmen.
