As reported by Breitbart, former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile appeared on the TV entertainment show, “Hardball” aired by MSNBC, yesterday, Tuesday November 21, 2017. During her appearance, Brazile said,
“My personal view is that it was not a legitimate election. This election will always have an asterisk by it ... the Russians interfered in our election ... when you see on social media with what they did on social media with Facebook and Twitter…We need to get to the bottom of it.”
Dummies like Donna Brazile would like for you to believe the impossible. She would like for you to believe that Russians swayed the opinions of 62,821,935 Americans with a handful of Facebook and Twitter ads, tweets and memes.
Every year, over $220 billion a year gets spent on advertising in the USA. Yet, thousands of firms still go out of business and countless products fail precisely because Americans fail to be swayed by all of the efforts to convince Americans to buy products.
Yet, supposedly the Russians easily convinced nearly 63 million Americans with a handful of Facebook ads. And these were not merely any 63 million Americans at random, but the exact ones needed to be swayed, ones living in the exact states so that President Trump could win the electoral college.
If this were true, the Russians should be in the advertising business rather than in the business of running a country. The Russians would be the world's first trillionaires with ease.
So how do Brazile's claims stack up against voting patterns from the last few presidential elections?
2016 Electoral College vs 2012 Electoral College
In the 2016 election (see maps below), President Trump lost Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Illinois, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine (one electoral district in a split district state), Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia.
In the 2012 election, losing candidate Mitt Romney lost all of those states that president Trump did and then a few more. Yet, if the claim is true about the Russians having hacked the election, then why is it that none of those states that Romney and Trump lost failed to flip for President Trump?
Keep in mind this. The 2012 election featured the re-election of a historic black man as president, Barack Obama, against the eventual losing candidate and a member of the fringe Mormon religion, Mitt Romney.
As well, it should be noted that both Indiana and North Carolina flipped to Romney in the 2012 election from Obama in the 2008 election. Did the Russians only hack the minds of voters in those two states in a 2012 trial run for the 2016 election?
The states that President Trump won, which Romney failed to win are these: Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida. Two states that had close vote tallies but President Trump failed to win were Minnesota and Virginia. If the Russians hacked the election, why did not Minnesota and Virginia flip to President Trump?
2016 vs 2012 Analysis
It should be agreed by all that if the Russians hacked the election successfully, universally, that is, in each electoral district, support for Clinton should have fallen and support for Trump should have risen.
In a third of Red States, support for both Clinton and Trump fell relative to Obama and Romney. That held true for both candidates Clinton and Trump in more than half of Blue States and in one of the Flipped States.
If the Russians hacked the election, how is it that support fell relative to Obama and Romney for both candidates? Surely, if the Russians hacked the election, candidate Trump's support should have risen but candidate Clinton's should have fallen.

Red States
Trump experienced a -38% decline in support relative to Romney in Utah with a difference of -27.7% of total votes. Clinton actually grew support 9% over Obama to a total of 2.3% addition in total votes. If the Russians hacked the election, how could Hillary have gained and Trump lost in a Red state?
President Trump actually lost support in 14 Red States relative to Romney while Clinton gained support in six Red States relative to Obama. Clearly, the Russians are the worst hackers of the world if they caused a decline in support for candidate Trump in Red States while boosting support for candidate Clinton in Red States!
Candidate Clinton achieved voter gains over Obama in Arizona, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana. At the same time, in those states, candidate Trump suffered voter declines relative to Romney.
Flipped States
In the Flipped State of Florida, both candidate Clinton and candidate Trump lost support relative to Obama and Romney. Again, if the Russians hacked the election in favor of candidate Trump, how is it he lost votes relative to Romney in a state he needed to win while at the same time candidate Clinton also lost votes relative to Obama? The Russians certainly are the most inept election hackers in the history of election hacking with this outcome.
What Happened Truly in 2016?
Hillary Clinton was a terrible candidate. Clinton failed to sustain the voter turnout that Obama achieved in 2012. Clinton simply failed to inspire Obama voters in 19 of 20 Blue States, 18 of 24 Red States and in all six Flipped States.
Even though candidate Trump failed to inspire Romney voters in 14 of 24 Red States, 12 of 20 Blue States and one of the Flipped States, candidate Trump failed to lose one Red State while capturing six Flipped States, even when facing a decline of voters in Florida.
Hillary never ran for any office before her president husband arranged for her to take the junior senator job from New York, practically uncontested. And then Obama anointed Hillary to the secretary of state job.
Both times, men gave Hillary key political jobs without her having learned how to earn those jobs. So who should have expected Hillary to win a major campaign with herself in charge?
Hillary Clinton has enjoyed the most manufactured, phony political career likely in the history of U.S. politics. Lacking political acumen and persuasion skills, no one should be surprised that Hillary Clinton lost in 2016.
One of the biggest lies told Americans since World War 2 is the lie that Russians hacked the 2016 election. The actual voting tallies fail to support even the wildest possibility that Russians hacked the election.
That commercial news operations such as ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN continue to gin up this false story exposes these advertiser-supported, pro-established order firms as purveyors of fake news.

2016 Versus 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012
In both the 2000 and 2004 elections, Floridians, Ohioans and Virginians voted for candidate George W. Bush. The Democrats failed to complain when Ohio, Florida and Virginia flipped for candidate Obama in 2008 and 2012.Virginia stayed flipped in 2016. Did the Russians cause that too?
All of these states flipped from the 2004 to the 2008 election in the favor of Obama: Colorado, New Mexico, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana and Iowa. Which such a massive shift in voting, how is it that no one claimed Russian interference in 2008?
