Paul Ryan, UniParty Republicans and Big Medical Bills Insurers are betting that you are too stupid to understand what they are doing and that you too stupid to understand how insurance works.
Having a mandated penalty surcharge goes against competition. The purpose of it is to reduce churn, which means Big Med Insurers will not need to compete to keep you as a customer.
Insurance doesn't cover the past. Insurance exists to cover losses that might happen in an unknown future.
Having insurance long ago that has since been discontinued fails to prevent future losses.
Anyone who knows the risk game looks at the situation at the moment and then decides to risk not earning as much for administering insurance because losses will be realized.
People are under this foolish belief that insurers pay claims from their stash. The source of funds for paying claims come from others who are insured. Insurers increase their handle by paying fewer claims and by estimating accurately actual losses in the future.
A surcharge mandate means those running the insurance either are too stupid to know how to gauge the future based on actuarial science or are using politics to get a law passed that gives them windfall profits.
Americans need to oppose RyanCare and demand a full repeal of ObamaCare. Americans need real insurance restored — risk pools based on sex, race, height, weight, age, blood pressure.
