Over 11,000 Cherokee Indians Live in Hawaii? How!

Today, I came across this article: The Biggest Native American Population in Every State. Looking over the data, it became clear that thousands of US residents falsely claim to be Cherokee indians much like that mentally unstable, screechy woman has done, Elizabeth Warren, the embarrassing U.S. Senator from Massachusetts.

I can believe the numbers for Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, as well as Kansas and Colorado and Texas, perhaps, as many relocated to these states before the Trail of Tears incident. Of course, Oklahoma became their settled land after Trail of Tears. Maybe I can even accept the numbers for Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.

However, I can not believe the numbers for other states:

I have a hard time believing there are any indians left in the far Northeast in general along with the upper Southeast. Also, I have a hard time believing that Cherokees, a southeastern tribe, displaced the main tribe in states of the northwest like Idaho and Washington.

Upper northeast states like Illinois and Indiana seem so unlikely to be stomping grounds for Cherokee as well.

So maybe nearly one half of one million U.S. residents are lying to themselves about their ancestry in the same way that wacky Elizabeth Warren does.
