All kinds of financial media kept spewing a woman's name, Cathie Wood. That right there tipped me off that whomever she is and whatever she was doing, I should ignore her.
All the same, eventually I discovered that she runs ARKK, a fund that speculates in stocks that Wood believes are stocks of firms, which will become innovators. Certainly, right now, such firms are not innovators.
What is Innovation?
Innovation is something new, novel, never before in existence that changes consumer behavior permanently. At one time, electricity and telephones were innovations. The cell phone and the smart phone were not innovations. Such things have been enhancements, advances but not innovations.
ARKK vs SARK
Wood started her ETF during the era of massive Quantitative Easing done by Federal Reserve Central Bankers. Anyone could seem to be a stock genius during that era.
This genius firm introduced an inverse ETF that reverse mirrors what Wood is doing with ARKK. Personally, I would have called it SNARK.
