They wonder:
- Can I get a job?
- Can I get a raise?
- Can I keep my job?
- Can I get a better paying job?
- Can my college graduating children get jobs?
For you, I rearranged Gallup's results.
Based on the results, President Trump's message should be straightforward:
"I want you to have even better lives, Americans. My focus is to continue strengthening the economy by putting you, Americans, first. I want you to get pay raises. I want you to get the jobs you want to work rather than the jobs you must work. I want your children who are graduating college in the next four years to get the jobs they went to school to get.
"Together, in my second term, we can do that, by keeping the economy strong and making it even stronger; by making sure your children and grandchildren can get the education and training they desire; by keeping everyone healthy with lower insurance premiums; by strengthening our borders; by having the right kind of immigration that works for you, your neighbors, for everybody; by getting Congress finally to pay to fix our roads and bridges so truckers can haul products from ports to where you shop; by having Congress spend the right way and not overspend on frivolous luxuries because you do not do that so why should they; by making sure Congress does not do a u-turn and try to raise your taxes.
"In spite of Hashtag the Resistance and the lying Fake News, in spite of partisan judges in Federal Courts who have tried to stop putting you first, Americans first, I have fought them for you every step of the way because you being Americans belong first. This is your country. This isn't the country of globalists nor big business.
"This is the country of working women and men, of street corner shops and businesses, of college grads who work for big business but who never have a say in what their big business employer does. This is the country of steel mill workers and car factory workers. That's right the USA has come back for you in my first term. Imagine how much farther we can go in my second to keep America great."
The President should tell the people what it is they want to hear, which coincide with what he is doing still and has done between 2017 and 2020.
President Trump should focus only on what roughly seven in ten US citizens care about and reject everything else.
And to simplify it, the President simply should focus on the connection between jobs economy, or what people care about most, which is themselves.
The President must continue to portray himself as the underdog who is fighting alongside all Americans against the big evils that keep them down. Americans love the underdog. They have unwavering positive sentiment for the underdog.
The President fought his way to the top on illegal immigration (wall, travel ban) and terrorism (ISIS) in 2016. That worked.
Now, for 2020, the President must show would-be voters, everything good they have gained between 2017 and 2020 could be taken away from them without President Trump there to fight for them from 2020 to 2025.
