BILLY GRAHAM, ONE OF THE GREAT DECEIVERS

"But guard yourselves from the false teachers, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but who in their hearts are plundering wolves. You can recognise them by their fruits. Do they ever gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
Thus every useful tree produces useful fruit; but the worthless tree produces worthless fruit. A useful tree cannot produce bad fruit; nor can a worthless tree produce good fruit. Every tree not producing good fruit will be felled and used as firewood. Reject their produce; for by this you can recognise them." ~ Jesus in Matthew 7:15-17

On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, 99 year old Billy Graham died, During his life, Graham perhaps was as well-known worldwide as the Dali Lama.

Billy Graham was the most successful man ever to spread a false gospel. Graham spread a false gospel to 250 million in person and countless millions more through television.

"Take care," said Jesus, in reply to them; "that none may deceive you. For many will come in My Name asserting, 'I am the Messiah,' and will lead many astray." ~ Jesus in Matthew 24:4-5

Assuredly, Billy Graham, a great deceiver, in fact said that Jesus is the Messiah. Graham went everywhere in Jesus's name and proclaimed Christ. Graham never denied such.

Yet, Graham concocted his own gospel. In doing so, Graham led millions astray.

Graham's deception was subtle, but effective. Whether or not Graham did so by design or because he was deceived himself will be up to each to decide.

In spite of the deceiving Graham, God overcame evil and actually led some through Graham to discover the true gospel.

Graham has been praised by liberals. His Wikipedia entry contains this:

He repudiated racial segregation. In addition to his religious aims, he helped shape the worldview of a huge number of people who came from different backgrounds, leading them to find a relationship between the Bible and contemporary secular viewpoints.

Yet, Graham was a committed appeaser of totalitarianism. Graham preached that living under communism would be acceptable. Graham even preached that Mohammad was legit and that Christians were closer to Mohammadism "Islam" than they realize. Of Mohammadism, Graham said, "We're closer to Islam than we really think we are," (Watch Graham say so from this video cued to the right time on YouTube).

Graham even appeased secularists, atheists and heathens of Mohammadism, Hinduism, Buddism and other false religions when he claimed the USA is not a Christian country and never was a Christian country. Graham said, "No. We're not a Christian country. We've never been a Christian country,"  (Watch Graham say so from this video cued to the right time on YouTube).

Yet, Graham's claim is so easily refuted. In my work, CHRISTIANS FOUNDED AMERICA, NOT ATHEISTS, NOR JEWS, NOR HINDUS, NOR BUDDHISTS, NOR MUSLIMS, I reveal many charters from British Colonial Americans that reveal the profound Anglo-Protestant Christian basis of British Colonial America and the USA.  Even the Constitution arose from Anglo-Protestant ethics.

As well, until 1965, 92% of Americans identified as Christians and declared themselves to be such.

So What Happened to Graham?

Some seeds fell among thistles, which grew up and choked it, and it produced no grain. Graham like many of the thistles heard the message of the gospel but his own desires choked the message. Graham was hellbent of spreading his own gospel earthwide.

Graham's Alternative Gospel

Graham borrowed words familiar to Christians and then gave his own meaning to those words to comprise his earthly gospel. Repentance, the Cross and Christ were major head words of Graham's gospel. Graham also preached there paths to God separate from Jesus.

Repentance

Graham's repentance, alike to what Catholics preach and most liturgical Protestants preach, is a false message of self-salvation. Consistently and wrongly, Graham claimed that men had to turn from their sins and work to remove sins from their lives so men could be saved, that is, go to heaven, or said accurately, gain everlasting life.

Graham's repentance claimed Jesus left you the task of finishing redeeming yourself. Graham's repentance is false repentance.

The Cross

Graham was fond of talking about the cross. Graham focused on the cross, but Jesus himself focused on his resurrection.  Graham seemed almost to revel in the death of Jesus having been nailed to a cross. Yet, Jesus said his resurrection was the key.

Christ

Graham always talked about Christ but rarely did he said the name Jesus.  Graham almost seemed ashamed to say the name Jesus.

Christ is the Latin for the Greek Khristos, meaning the anointed. The Son of God is Jesus the Christ. Jesus' name appears in the gospels throughout. Yet, Jesus Christ only appears in the introductions of gospels.

Who was Graham's Christ?

Wide is the Gate

Graham worked hard behind the scenes for ecumenical activities. Graham preached a message of omnism. Graham's message of omnism contradicted Jesus himself. In doing so, Graham led millions astray.

Graham encouraged membership in man-made religion and not even Christian religion! Being a member of church, a synagogue, a mosque, a temple will not get a man anything. Those are from below, the creation of men. Believing in Judaism, Mohammadism, Hinduism, Buddhism or atheism leads to judgment. Those are from below, the creation of men.

The True Gospel

The true gospel is straightforward. God so loved us that he sacrificed his son for our sins. You get everlasting life if you believe that Jesus is the son of God and why you have pardon for your sins. You die to eternity if you don't.

The beloved apostle John said it this way:

Let us love one another, friends, because love is from God; and every one who loves is born from God, and knows God. He who does not love, does not know God; for God is love. The love of God was displayed in our own case, when God sent His only begotten Son to the world, so that we might live by means of Him. Here was the love; not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His own Son as a reconciliation for our sins. ~ John in 1 John 4:7-10
"For God so loved the world that He gave the only begotten Son, so that every one believing in Him should not be lost, but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son to the world that He might condemn the world; but that He might save the world through Him. The believer in Him will not be condemned; whoever does not trust however, is already convicted because he has not confided on the only begotten Son of God." John, Jesus' Beloved in John 3:16-18

The true gospel can be expressed this way: Repent. Become born-again, that is, experience a true baptism.

By these words, Jesus meant something vastly different than the false gospel preached by Billy Graham. Graham is not alone. Millions of priests, ministers, pastors and preachers have preached alike false gospels for centuries, both Catholic and Protestant. To this day, most still do.

True Repentance

Repent means to turn away from man-made religion. Man-made religion comes from below. During his life, Jesus battled against the Pharisees. Jesus revealed their man-made religion of Judaism went against God.

In passage after passage of the gospels, the meaning is made clear.

After the betrayal of John, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God and saying, "Because the time is completed, and the Kingdom of God is near, be converted, and believe in the good news." ~ Jesus in Mark 1:14-15
"Do you think," said Jesus in reply to them, "that those Galileans were the greatest sinners in all Galilee, because they were subjected to such usage? By no means I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all be lost in the same way. Or those eighteen upon whom the tower of Siloam fell, and killed them — do you think that they were the greatest sinners of all the inhabitants of Jerusalem? Not at all; but unless you change your minds the whole of you will be destroyed in the same way." ~ Jesus in Luke 13:2-5
"But Peter said to them: "Change your minds and be baptized, every of you, in the Name of Jesus Christ, for a release from your sins; and shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Because the promise is for you, and for your children, and to all afar off, whoever the Lord our God may call." ~ Peter in Acts 2:38-39
"The God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has magnified His Child Jesus; Whom, however, you betrayed and rejected in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to discharge Him. But you refused the Pure and Righteous, and demanded a man, a murderer, to be granted to you; while you murdered the Prince of Life, Whom God has raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

And now, brothers, I know that you did it through ignorance, as did also your rulers; but what God foretold through the mouth of all the prophets concerning His Messiah, has thus been accomplished. Change your minds, however, and turn back towards that which can blot your sins: so that a period of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send to you the pre-appointed Messiah, Jesus;" ~ Peter in Acts 3:13-15; 17-19
But a man named Simon had been professing magic in the town, and startled the people of Samaria, holding himself out to be something extraordinary: to whom they all paid regard from the least to the greatest remarking, "This man is the power of God Who is called the Great." And they relied upon him, owing to the length of time he had charmed them with his sciences.
And when Simon observed that the Spirit was transmitted through the agency of the imposition of the hands of the apostles, he proffered them money, saying, "Grant this power also to me so that if I place my hands upon any one, he may receive Holy Spirit."
But Peter replying to him, said: "May your wealth go with you to perdition, because you have imagined that the gift of God can be bought with money. There is no part nor lot in this message for you; for your heart is not upright in the presence of God. Change your mind, therefore, from this wickedness; and pray the Lord, if, perhaps He will remove from you the intention of your heart. For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness, and the bonds of iniquity!" Peter in Acts 8:9-11; 8:18-23

False Repentance

False repentance as taught by Graham and so many others conflates it with sinning such as breaking one of the ten commandments, feeling remorseful and changing one's way as a first step in salvation.

Yet, the true gospel reveals that Jesus put away your sins already. Jesus did all the work, already. You have a free, no-strings pardon of all your sins.

You get everlasting life if you believe that Jesus is the son of God and why you have pardon for your sins. You die to eternity if you don't.

You do not need to confess your sins in public nor do you need to ask for forgiveness. Only a petty deity would demand sacrifices.  Praying for a pardon from God, trying hard to show you piety and that you're dutiful to God or doing any other sacrifice in fear of God hoping that God will forgive you and protect you is false religion.

To Be Born-again

"Most assuredly I tell you," replied Jesus, "that unless any one is born from above, he cannot see the Kingdom of God." John 3:3
"Most assuredly I tell you," replied Jesus, "that if a man is not born from water and Spirit, he is unable to enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born from the flesh is flesh; and that which is born from the Spirit is spirit. Do not be surprised that I told you, 'You must be born from above.' The Spirit indeed, breathes where He pleases and you hear His voice; but yet you neither see where He comes from, nor where He goes: so it is with all born of the Spirit. John 3:5-8

So what is the water to which Jesus refers? Well Jesus has told all:

"If you had recognised the gift of God," Jesus answered her, "and Who He is Who is saying to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked from Him, and He would have given you Living Water." John 4:10
"All who drink of this water," Jesus said to her, "will thirst again; but whoever may drink of the water which I will give him will never more be thirsty; but the water that I will give to him will become in him a spring of water flowing into life eternal." John 4:13-14
The good news that Jesus has proclaimed is this living water. It is the word of God. And what is the spirit to which Jesus refers? Jesus has told all as well:

"The time will come, however, and is even now here, when the real worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; because, indeed, the Father desires such to be His worshippers. God is Spirit; and those worshipping Him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:23-24
To become born again means to be born as a spirit by the Spirit. That can only happen to you if you get your religion from above, directly from God's word through Jesus. You do so by heeding the teaching of Jesus. This is what is meant to be cleansed from man-made religion, to experience baptism. You can be born again as a spirit by the Spirit only after you die your earthly death and only if you believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God.

Earthly religion and its attendant rituals are born of mankind. Earthly religion is of the flesh. Earthly religion is a stumbling block. Jesus revealed this truth repeatedly.

Jesus violated the rules of the Pharisees' Judaism, repeatedly and consistently. Jesus violated the their rules to reveal how their religious practices contradicted their claim of following God. Because Jesus violated their religious rules, the Jews arranged for Jesus to be killed.
Jesus worked on the Sabbath healing people. Jesus disturbed the flow of activity in the Jew temples.

Jesus stood against earthly religion. Jesus opposed earthly religion outright. Jesus even revealed that earthly religion ritual practices were in error:
"And when you pray, do not follow the example of the hypocrites; for they delight to pray standing in the crowds and at the corners of the squares, so that they may be seen by men. I tell you, however, that they receive their wages. But when you pray, enter your chamber, and having shut your door, pray to your Father in that privacy; and your Father seeing into that privacy, will return it to you openly." ~ Jesus in Matthew 6:5-6

The Gospel Means Salvation and Salvation Means Gaining Everlasting Life

You get everlasting life if you believe that Jesus is the son of God and why you have pardon for your sins. You die to eternity if you don't.

Let's let Jesus tell you:

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life," Jesus answered him, "no one can come to the Father except through Me." Jesus in John 14:6
"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so it is necessary for the Son of Man to be lifted up; so that all believing in Him may have eternal life." Jesus in John 3:14-15
"You are from below," He answered them; "I am from above: you belong to this world; I am not from this world. I therefore told you that you would die in your sins; for unless you believe that I Am, you will die in your sins." Jesus in John 8:23-24
"I tell you most assuredly," Jesus answered them, "you search for Me not because you have seen evidences; but because you have eaten of the bread, and have been satisfied. Strive not only for this perishable food; but also for that lasting into eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you: for Him has God the Father marked out." John 6:26-27
"I tell you assuredly, Moses did not himself give you that bread from heaven; but My Father will give you the real bread from heaven: for the bread of God is He Who descends from heaven, and gives life to the world." John 6:32-33
Jesus answered them, "I am the Bread of Life: the one who comes to Me will never hunger; and the one who believes in Me will never thirst." John 6:35
I tell you most decisively that the believer possesses eternal life. I am the Bread of Life. Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, and died. This is the Bread coming down from heaven, so that any one may eat of it, and not die. I am the Living Bread, which descended from out of heaven: if any one should eat of this Bread, he will live forever; and the Bread also is My body, which I will give for the life of the world!" John 6:44-51
Jesus therefore said to them:
"I tell you most certainly that unless you eat the body of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, you do possess life in yourselves. Whoever eats My body, and drinks My blood, has eternal life; and I him at the last day: for My body is a true food, and My blood true drink. Whoever eats of My body and drinks of My blood, abides with Me, and I with him. As the living Father sent Me, I also live through the Father; so that the one who eats Me, shall also live through Me. This is the Bread descending from heaven; not such as that of which your forefathers ate and died. Whoever eats this Bread shall live forever." John 6:47-58
"I tell you most assuredly that if a man holds on to My message, he will by no means see death forever." John 8:51
"The sheep that are My own listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never at any time be lost, and no one is able to snatch them out of My hands." John 10:27-28
"I am the Resurrection and the Life; whoever believes on Me, although he may die, he will live: and every one living and believing in Me shall not die forever ." John 11:25-26

Many simply fail to grasp this straightforward message of Jesus. Graham, the most famous supposed Christian evangelist of the last one hundred years, was one of those many. Through his entire ministry, Graham revealed that he doubting the straightforward message of Jesus to love and enjoy the pardon already given.

The offer of the gospel is not a conditional pardon that requires man-made religious practice whatsoever, but to the enjoyment of the pardon already given to all of mankind.
Those who don't trust Jesus and the good spell told about Jesus — his resurrection puts away sin for the whole world; and only those individuals who believe so have everlasting life — but rather love their religion and religious practices instead have been indicted.

For a straight forward telling of the gospel, see my work:

What Others Have Said About Graham

Here are some videos worthy of your time. Some of the titles might be oft-putting, but brave up and watch.

Did Billy Graham Gather or Scatter? Was Graham on the Side of Jesus or Against Him?

"Whoever is not on My side, is against Me; and whoever does not gather with Me, scatters." ~ Jesus in Matthew 12:30
"Not every one who says to Me, 'Master Master!' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but only those who do the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Master Master!' have we not preached in Your Name? and have we not cast out demons in Your Name? and in Your Name have we not done many wonders?' And then I shall declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you traders in lawlessness!' ~ Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23
Jesus was clear that he is the Son of God and that his message is from above, from God directly. Jesus was clear everlasting life came through his resurrection and believing in him as the Son of God and his resurrection.

Jesus handled all sin for mankind. No man can save himself merely by stopping sinning. Even an atheist can live an otherwise sin-free life, expecting the sin of not believing in God. Assuredly, no atheist will gain everlasting life.

Yet, Graham preached a false message of repentance, that anyone should feel such regret for sins or crimes as to produce an amendment of life.

It is hard to see how someone who could have preached his own self-satisfying story about Jesus could be on the same side as Jesus. And there is no way anyone could gather any of his fellow mankind to Jesus by preaching a false gospel.

Many can attack me over the truth about Billy Graham. By doing so, they will reveal suffering from the pernicious effects of hyper-indoctrination. They have been programmed by positive propaganda over the years about Graham. Those who defend Graham have accepted his deception.
All should repent from Billy Graham.
