SUPER TUESDAY WAS NOT SO SUPER FOR MARCO. TRUMP TRIUMPHS. CRUZ CRUISES IN TEXAS BUT STRUGGLES ELSEWHERE.





Marco Rubio managed to win the primary in Minnesota. The win netted Rubio one more delegate than the Canadian-Cuban Ted Cruz who is running an illegal campaign (see: THE TED CRUZ CRIB SHEET. THE 34 REASONS WHY TED ISN'T NATURAL-BORN AND CAN'T BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES) and four more delegates than billionaire businessman Donald Trump.

Minnesota results:

  • 38 delegates
  • Rubio won 
  • Rubio, 14 delegates; Cruz, 13; Trump, 10
  • Rubio 1.08:1 over Cruz 
  • Rubio 1.4:1 over Trump

Ted Cruz the junior senator from Texas managed to win his home state of Texas.

Texas results:

  • 155 delegates
  • Cruz won 
  • Cruz, 99 delegates; Trump, 33; Rubio, 3
  • Cruz 3:1 over Trump
  • Cruz 33:1 over Rubio
In three states combined, Alaska, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Cruz managed to net one delegate more than Trump though trump won Arkansas.

  • Cruz won 
  • Cruz, 12 delegates; Trump, 11; Rubio, 5
  • Cruz 1.09:1 over Trump
  • Cruz 2.4:1 over Rubio

Oklahoma results:

  • 43 delegates
  • Cruz won 
  • Cruz, 14 delegates; Trump, 12; Rubio, 11
  • Cruz 1.17:1 over Trump
  • Cruz 1.27:1 over Rubio

Donald Trump won the majority of delegates from Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Massachusetts,  Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia.

Arkansas results:

  • 40 delegates
  • Trump won 
  • Trump, 16; Cruz, 14 delegates; Rubio, 9
  • Trump 1.14:1 over Cruz
  • Trump 1.77:1 over Rubio

Alabama results:

  • 50 delegates
  • Trump won
  • Trump, 36 delegates; Cruz, 13; Rubio, 1
  • Trump 2.77:1 over Cruz
  • Trump 36:1 over Rubio

Georgia results:

  • 76 delegates
  • Trump won
  • Trump, 40 delegates; Rubio, 14; Cruz, 18
  • Trump 2.86:1 over Rubio
  • Trump 2.22:1 over Cruz

Massachusetts results:

  • 42 delegates
  • Trump won 
  • Trump, 22 delegates; Kasich, 8; Rubio, 8; Cruz, 4
  • Trump 2.75:1 over Kasich
  • Trump 2.78:1 over Rubio
  • Trump 5.5:1 over Cruz

Tennessee results:

  • 58 delegates
  • Trump won
  • Trump, 31 delegates; Cruz, 14; Rubio, 9
  • Trump 2.21:1 over Cruz
  • Trump 3.4:1 over Rubio

Vermont results:

  • 16 delegates
  • Trump won
  • Trump, 6 delegates; Kasich, 6
  • Trump 1:1 over Kasich

Virginia results:

  • 49 delegates
  • Trump won
  • Trump, 17 delegates; Rubio, 16; Cruz, 8; Kasich, 5; Carson, 3
  • Trump 1.06:1 over Rubio
  • Trump 2.125:1 over Cruz
  • Trump 3.4:1 over Kasich
  • Trump 5.67:1 over Carson





So how much do the candidates need to spend to win the nomination? Note: The spending is in the billions. So Ted Cruz would need to spend $90 million vs Donald Trump who would need to spend $40 million at this pace. Rubio would needs to spend $465 million and Kasich, $756 million.
