Jeb said, "Yeah, no, he [Trump] is, he is playing this for political purposes for sure, um, you know...Accepting the fact that we make mistakes and you seek forgiveness. That's, that's one of the tenets of the Christian faith that I think all — everybody can agree on. We're all sinners! Some more than others!"
Jeb doesn't seem to recognize his neighbor as me condemns Trump.
Seeking forgiveness might be a Catholic Church tenet and adopted by some sects of Protestants, all based on post-apostle Pauline teaching, but it was never a tenet of Jesus nor his actual apostles.
"Condemn not, so that you may not be condemned. For according to the sentence you pronounce, you will yourself be convicted; and with the same measure with which you measure, you will be measured.
"But why do you take notice of the dust in your brother's eye, while you cannot observe the chip in your own eye? or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the dust from your eye,' while the chip is in your own eye? Pretender! First remove the chip from your own eye, and then you will see straight to remove the dust from the eye of your brother." ~ Jesus in Matthew 7:1-5
